Event Description:

For “An Evening with Barry Corbin” the skillful storyteller has put together a presentation celebrating his personal and professional life. It includes photos from some his most cherished moments on and off set. This event is highly interactive with Corbin taking questions from a moderator and the audience, with an opportunity for photos and autographs afterwards.

Barry Corbin has appeared in hundreds of movies and TV shows over the past 40 years. Fans remember him early on in Urban CowboyLonesome Dove and Northern Exposure. His career is still going strong with roles in recent years on The RanchYellowstoneTulsa Kings, as well as the new Martin Scorsese feature Killers of the Flower Moon.

Before Corbin made his first onscreen appearance in Urban Cowboy, he had already acted in theater for over 20 years. He started off performing on stages in West Texas where he grew up, and eventually acted in plays all along the East Coast. Corbin is a classically trained Shakespearean actor, a style which has helped him in his film and television work.

Barry’s Texas heritage has also informed his approach to many of his characters and life in general. Raised in West Texas, Corbin’s family always encouraged his education and success. His mother LaMerle was a school teacher and his father, Kilmer Blaine Corbin, was a school principal, judge and state senator. He served two terms in the Texas State Senate from 1949 to 1957.
