Name: An Evening with Mandy Barnett
Date: January 18, 2019
Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM CST
Event Description:
When still just a teenager, Mandy Barnett starred as country music legend Patsy Cline in the stage show Always . . . Patsy Cline at the world-famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The performances sold out nightly and received rave reviews across the country. Mandy, in her role as Patsy, appears on the Decca Records cast recording.
Working with Seymour Stein - the producer who introduced us all to K. D. Lang - Mandy created the album "I've Got A Right To Cry," which was named by Rolling Stone as the number 1 Country album of 1999, and led to appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "CBS Sunday Morning," and PBS's "Sessions at West 54th".
You may have picked up Mandy's Christmas Album, which was sold exclusively by Cracker Barrel stores in 2010 (it's available everywhere now), and was hailed as "timeless" and "an instant classic" by the L.A. Times.
Later albums include "Sweet Dreams" featuring music made famous by Patsy Cline, and "I Can't Stop Loving You: The Songs of Don Gibson," which reviewers heralded as "a riveting album" that showcases Mandy's "exquisite," "powerful and spellbinding," "soaring country torch" voice.
"USA Today" called Mandy one of the "finest classic country and torch singers" to come out of Nashville.
Whether you're already familiar with Mandy Barnett and her amazing ability to bring to life some of the world's greatest songs, or you haven't yet become a fan, this is an artist not to be missed.
