Event Description:
Award-winning artist Karen Cooper of Kerrville has been designated the Artist of the Month for February 2015 at the Museum of Western Art.

Karen is well known for action and movement in her paintings as well as the drama of negative space that is her signature.  Her technique is her unique creation of working with soft pastels on black sanded paper.

Cooper loves to capture special moments in the colorful era of the American West, painting real people doing real things and portraying the special relationship between people and animals.

Among her many career achievements, she is the selected artist for the 2015 Cheyenne Frontier Days Official Rodeo Poster with her unique work "Back Rub".
