Schreiner Choirs Slate Holiday Concert Schreiner University’s choirs will present a Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 800 Jefferson St. in Kerrville. The concert is free and open to the public. SU Choir Director Michael Kahl says the University and Concert choirs will present choral works from different eras and musical styles that celebrate the holiday and Christmas spirit. Works to be performed will include “Christmas Time is Here” from “A Charlie Brown Christmas Special,” “O Tannenbaum,” “I Heard the Bells,” “Night of Silence,” the timeless classic, “Carol of the Bells,” and many others. The Schreiner University Choir program is open to both music and non-music majors. The styles of music rehearsed and performed vary from classical, spirituals, musical theater, and jazz to pop music. The university offers an undergraduate music major with emphasis in piano, voice, organ, harp, guitar and violin.
