Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CST
Event Description:
Schreiner Band Concert is Sunday

The Schreiner University Concert Band will present its fall concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville, 800 Jefferson St. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will include “Somewhere” from Westside Story, theme from “The Cowboys” by John Williams, “Rough Riders” march by Karl King, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, and “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.”

This version of a Schreiner University band is in its third year. “Last year we doubled the membership and raised awareness throughout the campus, attracting some great players and certainly having a wonderful music experience,” says Michael Kasberg, the band’s director and adjunct instructor of music.

The band, which rehearses Monday and Wednesday evenings, performs one concert in the fall and two in the spring, at some Mountaineer basketball games, and for select alumni and university events.
