Name: Tom Paulson for Artist of the Month
Date: February 15, 2018
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CST
Event Description:
The Museum of Western Art will host its Artist of the Month reception on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. with artist Tom Paulson. Non-museum members are invited to attend the wine and cheese reception with a suggested donation of $10; museum members, of course, attend at no charge. Born in Fort Worth, Tom’s interest in western art started at an early age. Spending summers and holidays working on the family ranch, he developed a love for horses, cattle, and western culture. After many years as an art director, he moved back to the place where he gets most of his inspiration: the Bosque County Hill Country near Clifton. This is reflected in his paintings and sculptures. “I paint colors and objects that I see in everyday surroundings,” he says. With oils as his primary medium, Tom enjoys painting from a perspective that embraces the western way of life. The award-winning Museum of Western Art is located at 1550 Bandera Highway in Kerrville. Hours are 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, please call 830.896.2553.
