K’STAR, Inc., a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Medical/Educational Coordinator for our Emergency Children’s Shelter. This case management role ensures children in crisis receive proper medical coordination, school support, and resource access during their time at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
-Complete intake assessments for new residents
-Schedule Medial, Dental, and Vision appointments
-Enroll school-age children and maintain educational records
-Transport youth to and from school & appointments
-Collaborate with staff, schools, and community partners
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, or a related field (preferred)
-Experience in case management, particularly with children or youth in crisis situations
-Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including children, families, and community organizations
