Kerrville-Schreiner Park to host Halloween Family Fright Night

The City of Kerrville parks and Recreation Department would like to invite all ghosts, goblins, and creatures of the night to join us on Halloween for Family Fright Night on Friday, October 31st, for an evening of safe and traditional family fun in Kerrville-Schreiner Park.  Activities for this FREE event will include Trick or Treating at the eight mini cabins along the river, carnival games, bounce house, a costume contest, free popcorn and drinks, and a Halloween movie.  "This event will be a fun and safe experience for parents and children," said Destini Ledesma, Parks and Recreation Specialist.  "We have several ghoulish activities planned for all of the little ghosts and goblins to "haunt" Kerrville-Schreiner Park."
Sponsors for this event include Culver's, TNJ Engraving, Kerrville Early Childhood Center, Remax, Anytime Fitness, Up N' Jacks, Mi Mesa, The Salvation Army Kroc Center, and the Kerrville Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Ledesma adds, "We are fortunate that sponsoring organizations and businesses in Kerrville are hosting the cabins on the river.  They are planning a very interesting "neighborhood" for trick or treating, with spooky decorations and costumes."
The Halloween movie will be Hotel Transylvania  (PG), an animated movie in which Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count's teenaged daughter.  The movie will be shown at the Kerrville-Schreiner Park amphitheater.
