Symphony of the Hills opens new season with Journey Across Europe
First concert on Oct 2 at Cailloux Theater
 
 
 
Symphony of the Hills opens its 2014-2015 concert season with Journey Across Europe on Thursday, Oct 2, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at Cailloux Theater, 910 Main, Kerrville, Texas. The event will be preceded by a wine reception in the lobby at 6:30 p.m.
 
Tickets can be reserved online at www.symphonyofthehills.org/tickets. Tickets may also be purchased from the box office prior to the concert.
 
This concert is sponsored by Fitch Estate Sales of Kerrville and Austin.
 
Journey Across Europe is billed as A Eurail Pass to the Continent’s Great Music. The 75-piece symphony will present a program featuring selections by among others Dvorak, Adinsell, Wagner, Handel, Mozart, and Verdi. Dr. Donald Crandall will perform Warsaw Concerto for piano and orchestra.

February 26, 2015–True Romance: Love Songs for the Ages
April 30, 2015–Bach and His Disciples: The Legacy of A Musical Genius
 
Symphony of the Hills concerts are funded through season ticket sales, corporate and individual donations, grants and other assistance, and program advertising. Orchestra musicians come from the Hill Country area and include professionals, Schreiner University faculty, and advanced music students.
 
The Symphony is committed to expanding the appreciation of symphonic music throughout the Texas Hill Country and continues its tradition of providing musical enrichment to school children in the area.
