Kerrville Public School Foundation Teacher of the Year Program Accepting Nominations
KERRVILLE, TEXAS (January 6, 2015) - The Kerrville Public School Foundation announces that nominations are now open for the annual Teacher of the Year Program. This program is designed to recognize exceptional classroom teaching within Kerrville Independent School District. Two awards will be given: one to a deserving classroom teacher at the pre-school through grade 5 level (Elementary Level) and the other to a deserving classroom teacher in the grade 6 through grade 12 level (Secondary Level). Additionally, a monetary award of $2,500 will be given to each recipient.
All classroom teachers completing at least five years of experience in this district, including the 2014-2015 school year, are eligible to be nominated. The Kerrville Public School Foundation’s focus upon effective instruction in this recognition is consistent with KISD’s stated goals and emphasis upon excellence in the instructional program. Last year’s honorees were Pam Guthrie at the Elementary Level and Shelby Balser at the Secondary Level.
