Kerrville ISD’s Mentoring Program seeks new volunteers to serve as mentors for children in the district. Mentors meet with students for one hour one time per week to read stories, visit and play games. An orientation session is being held Wednesday, September 17th at 4:00 p.m. in the Library of Tom Daniels Elementary located at 2002 Singing Wind Drive. During this time if you decide you want to participate in the program, we will have the necessary paperwork for you to complete. Interested applicants will need a Driver’s license # and the names and phone #s of two references that are not related to you, to be able to complete the application process. The youth of our community are excited and appreciative of the time they spend with mentors. Are you ready to make a difference in the life of a child? For more information, please call Mentoring Lead Coordinator Laurie Rees at 257-2200, extension 2051.
