Kerrville Businesses to Celebrate National Day of the Cowboy
Kerrville businesses are jumping on board this year to join in the celebration of the National Day of the Cowboy on July 26, 2014.
The program was originally introduced by Wyoming’s U.S. Senator, the late Craig Thomas, as an official day designated to “preserve, protect and promote our cowboy and Western heritage”  and was dedicated to the promotion of cowboy events around the country and around the world.  Now in it’s tenth year, numerous events are now held throughout the country on each fourth Saturday in July.
Kerrville participants offering special National Day of the Cowboy promotions exclusively on July 26 include:
-       Museum of Western Art, 1550 Bandera Highway -  ½ price admission to the museum and 10% off select gift shop merchandise
-        Inn of the Hills Resort & Conference Center, 1001 Junction Highway – on Saturday, July 26, take advantage of a special $89.00+ rate at this popular Hill Country resort, based on availability.
-       Rivers Edge Gallery, 832 Water Street – 10% off western art and framing services
-To receive any of the above discounts, mention National Day of the Cowboy.
The National Day of the Cowboy, a non-profit organization, works to contribute to the preservation of America’s cowboy and ranching heritage so that the history and culture which the National Day of the Cowboy bill honors can be shared and perpetuated for the public good through education, the arts, celebrations, gatherings, rodeos and other community activities.  For more info, visit www.NationalDayoftheCowboy.com.
