MUSEUM TO HOST “THE PARTY: 35TH ANNUAL ART SALE AND EXHIBITION” IN SEPTEMBER

The award-winning Museum of Western Art will celebrate its 35th anniversary with its annual Art Sale and Exhibition on Saturday, September 15, 2018. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will feature an elegant cocktail buffet, libations, and a silent auction featuring original fine art by some of today’s finest Western artists. A surprise and fun activity is also in store for attendees.

Reservations for the event are $125 per person and include a one-year membership.

Manuel S. Franco, Edith and John Maskey, and Karen Cooper are just a few of the outstanding participating artists in this year’s exhibition, which will remain on view through October 31. The art will be available for purchase through that day. The museum receives a percentage of the work sold.

Stephanie Turnham, Executive Director, said, “Your purchase of the art on view is not only an investment in art and artists, it is also an investment in the Museum. Proceeds from The Party benefit the museum’s quality educational programs and also provide crucial operating support for this world-class institution.”

The Museum of Western Art is located at 1550 Bandera Highway. Museum hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, please call 830.896.2553 or visit www.museumofwesternart.com.
