THE SALVATION ARMY – MAKING CHRISTMAS BRIGHTER

Each winter, The Salvation Army offers special holiday programs so that children and adults from impoverished neighborhoods and low-income families have a chance to escape everyday trials and enjoy the holidays.

But, did you know that right here in Kerrville, The Salvation Army is running holiday assistance programs in order to meet needs throughout the community?

The Salvation Army of Kerr County is once again hosting the Angel Tree program, and will kick off the annual Red Kettle program on November 14, 2014  in an effort to give neighbors in need a brighter Christmas and support Social Service programs here in our own community.

We are looking for individuals, families, churches, businesses and civic groups to partner with us by participating in any of the following areas.

Volunteer Bell Ringing
Hosting and Angel Tree for Children and/or Seniors
Organizing a Food and Toy Drive
Collecting Items for our Emergency Shelter Program
Donating to our Annual Coat and Blanket Drive through local Dry Cleaners
Adopting and shopping for Angels and Elder Angels
Volunteering to assist at our Christmas Warehouse and Distribution Center

For more information on Salvation Army programs, to apply for holiday assistance, or to donate, please contact The Salvation Army of Kerr County at 830-257-3620.

Donations to support the ongoing needs of The Salvation Army Programs can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center at 201 Holdsworth Drive, The Social Service Center at 855 Hays Street, mailed to P.O. Box 290790, Kerrville, TX  78029 or made over the phone with a credit card at (830) 315-5762.
